Dr. Christoph Wittekindt
Education
Studied law at the Universities of Augsburg, Geneva and Munich. Courses in English and French law. Legal traineeship at the Higher Regional Court of Munich; Doctorate (Dr. iur.) at the Free University of Berlin on a comparative constitutional law topic. Admitted as Lawyer to the German Bar in November 1998. Admitted as a foreign lawyer in Paris/France in 2012/2013 (Directive 98/5/EU of Feb 16th, 1998).
Main areas of activity
National and int. tax law (also Expats, secondments), national and cross-border inheritance law, donations, real estate law, in particular foreign real estate, General business law (contracts, commercial, startups).
Legal Training
Successfully finished the theoretical part for becoming a bar-certified specialist in tax law; attends regularly the Annual Munich Tax Conference as well as courses on national and cross-border inheritance law (e.g. ZEV-Jahrestagung). Further training on national and international tax law, on domestic and foreign real estate and inheritance law and.
Events
Numerous lectures and seminars on topics such as setting up foreign companies and start-ups here in Germany (with the Invest in Bavaria Agency), German-French inheritance law and gift law (Institut francais), Real estate (Expatriation Allemagne), Asset transfer and inheritance throughout Europe (European Patent Office) as well as cross-generational asset structuring (Verein rund ums Erben in Bavaria).
